A flat object, typically oblong and made from layers of pasteboard pressed together, used with similar objects in a pack for playing various Games, such objects being uniquely identifiable and distinguishable from one another by markings on the face (according to rank, suit, etc., in a conventional pack (see PLAYING-card)) but not from the back.
