A genetic disorder, which is also called the Zellweger syndrome, characterized by the reduction or absence of peroxisomes (cell structures that rid the body of toxic substances) in the cells of the liver, kidneys, and brain. Zellweger syndrome is one of a group of disorders called the leukodystrophies, all of which affect the myelin sheath, the fatty covering which acts as an insulator on nerve fibers in the brain.

Ingredients



4 smoked sausages, cooked and sliced100g/3½oz green lentils100g/3½oz yellow lentils100g/3½oz finely diced carrots 100g/3½oz finely diced potatoes 30g/1oz diced shallots1½ litres/2½fl oz vegetable stock



Method



1. Take shallots and sweat off in a pan.2. Add lentils (green and yellow) and keep sweating.3. Add the stock.4. Allowed to cook till reduced.5. Add diced carrots and potatoes when the lentils are cooked.6. Season with salt and pepper then take smoked sausages and add to the soup and serve immediately.
