Manner of bearing oneself; demeanour, manners; observable actions; treatment shown to or towards another or others. LME.
be on one's best behaviour, be on one's good behaviour take care to behave well (when being observed or tested).
b. spec. Good manners, elegant deportment. L16-E18.
(As a count noun) An instance or way of behaving. Now usu. of animals or people as objects of study: an observable pattern of actions, a response to a stimulus. M16.
The way in which an object, device, substance, etc., acts or works. L17.
Comb.: behaviour pattern a set of actions which occur characteristically in a given situation and are regarded as a unified whole; behaviour therapy treatment of a psychological disorder by gradual training of the patient to react normally.
