A kind of wood used esp. for the handles of knives, daggers, etc. obsolete exc. Hist. LME.
a. In full dudgeon-dagger. A dagger with a hilt made of dudgeon. Also, a butcher's steel for sharpening knives. arch. L16.
b. The hilt of a dagger, made of dudgeon. rare (Shakes.). Only in E17.
