Biology. Of or pertaining to lysis; capable of producing or undergoing lysis; spec. (of a bacterium) capable, without being attacked by a phage, of lysing and liberating a phage normally integrated with the bacterial genome.
lysogenicity noun = lysogeny M20.
lysogeni'zation noun the process of lysogenizing a bacterium M20.
ly'sogenize verb trans. (of a phage) become stably integrated into the genome of (a bacterium) M20.
