Carry, bear, convey, bring. Now rare in gen. sense. M16.
Military. Carry or hold (a pike etc.) with both hands; spec. carry (a rifle or other weapon) diagonally across and close to the body with the barrel or blade near the left shoulder (freq. in imper. in port arms!). E17.
Computing. Transfer (a piece of software) from one machine or system to another, esp. with little or no alteration. L20.
Comb.: port arms (the position required by) a command to port one's rifle etc.
