riches noun pl. (orig. sing.). ME.
[Orig. var. of RICHESSE; later analysed as pl.]
Abundant means, valuable possessions or resources, wealth. Formerly also, the possession of wealth, the condition of being rich; (treated as sing.) a particular form of wealth.
