Any of various orchids constituting the genus Listera, with two nearly opposite broad stem-leaves and greenish flowers; esp. L. ovata (in full common twayblade), of woods and grassland, and L. cordata (in full lesser twayblade), of mountain moors. L16.
In N. America, any of various orchids of the genus Liparis, with two leaves springing from the root. E19.
