olivocochlear bundle


A bundle of fibres that originates from the periolivary nuclei bilaterally, exits the brainstem on the vestibular nerve, joins the cochlear nerve in the inner ear, and terminates on outer hair cells.

Synonym: bundle of Rasmussen, olivocochlear fibres.
