The function of trademarks is to allow consumers to identify the source of products or Services so they can avoid the brands dislike and buy the ones they like. It is not necessary that the hypothetical consumer knows the actual name of the manufacturer or service provider. All that is necessary is that the consumer can discriminate between brands.
