<tumour> A skin tumour exhibiting dyskeratosis.

Origin: dys-+ G. Keras, horn, + -oma, tumour

Warty dyskeratoma, a benign solitary tumour of the skin, usually of the scalp, face, or neck, with a central keratotic plug; it appears to arise from a hair follicle, and microscopically resembles a lesion of keratosis follicularis but is larger, with more extensive epithelial downgrowth.

Synonym: isolated dyskeratosis follicularis.


Bear trap (finance)


The predicament facing short sellers when a bear market reverses its trend and becomes bullish. The assets continue to sell in anticipation of further declines in price, and short sellers then are forced to cover at higher prices.
