<chemical> Orally active inhibitor of kininase II. It controls essential and renal hypertension, improves glomerular filtration rate and effective renal blood flow, and decreases renal vascular resistance without producing adverse effects on salt and water excretion or body fluid composition.

Pharmacological action: angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, antihypertensive agents.
