<chemical> 1,3-dihydro-4-methyl-5-(4-(methylthio)benzoyl)-2h-imidazol-2-one. A selective phosphodiesterase inhibitor with vasodilating and positive inotropic activity that does not cause changes in myocardial oxygen consumption. It is used in patients with congestive heart failure.
Pharmacological action: cardiotonic agent, phosphodiesterase inhibitors, vasodilator agents.

Lentil Rice Curry (recipes)
Lentil Rice Curry
Yield: Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
2tablespoons olive oil
1cup sliced green onions
3cloves garlic, minced
2tablespoons minced fresh ginger
2teaspoons curry powder
1/2teaspoon ground cumin
1/2teaspoon ground turmeric
3cups water
1can (about 14 ounces) stewed tomatoes, undrained
1/2teaspoon salt
1cup red lentils
1large head cauliflower (about 1-1/4 pounds), broken into florets
1tablespoon lemon juice
Fragrant Basmati Rice (recipe follows)
Preparation:
1.Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat until hot. Add onions, garlic, ginger, curry, cumin and turmeric; cook and stir 5 minutes. Add water, tomatoes and salt; bring to a boil over high heat.2.Meanwhile, rinse lentils under cold running water, picking out any debris or blemished lentils. Add lentils to saucepan. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 35 to 40 minutes or until lentils are tender. Add cauliflower and lemon juice. Cover and simmer 8 to 10 minutes more or until cauliflower is tender.3.Meanwhile prepare Fragrant Basmati Rice.4.Spoon lentil mixture over Fragrant Basmati Rice.
Fragrant Basmati Rice
Yield: Makes 4 cups
Ingredients:
2cups apple juice
3/4cup water
1/2teaspoon salt
1-1/2cups white basmati or Texmati rice
2thin slices fresh ginger
1piece cinnamon stick (2 inches long)
Preparation:
1.Bring juice, water and salt to a boil in medium saucepan. Add remaining ingredients; reduce heat to low. Cover; simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove ginger and cinnamon stick; discard.
