Pregnancy-induced hypertensive states, including eph gestosis when oedema and proteinuria accompany hypertension. Other hypertensive disorders that develop during pregnancy or the puerperium are preeclampsia and eclampsia, either of which may be superimposed upon chronic hypertensive vascular or renal disease.
