Brecht, Bertolt (oh)



(1898-1956) a German writer of plays and poetry. He is famous for writing plays such as The Threepenny Opera, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, and Mother Courage, which deal with political ideas and are similar in form to ancient Greek plays.
