Ingredients
3 eggs1 tbsp caster sugar6 scoops vanilla ice-cream4 After Eight chocolate mints½ bottle miniature grand marnier
Method
1. Place the egg whites in a large clean bowl and whisk to form stiff peaks. Whisk the sugar in until the whites become stiff and glossy.2. Place three scoops of ice-cream onto a serving plate. 3. Break up the chocolate mints and sprinkle on top of the ice-cream. Top with the remaining three scoops of ice-cream.4. Spoon the meringue mixture over the ice-cream until completely smothered.5. Using a blow-torch, carefully finish off the meringue to give it an even, golden colour.6. Reduce the alcohol in a hot pan and pour over the alaska to finish.7. Serve immediately.
