Best Ever Hero Sandwich

Yield: Makes 4 servings



Ingredients:



1/4cup Hot & Spicy Mustard (recipe follows)

4(6-inch) hoagie rolls or kaiser rolls, split

4ounces sliced salami

4ounces sliced smoked ham

4ounces sliced provolone cheese

1large tomato, sliced

4large romaine lettuce leaves









Preparation:





1.Spread mustard evenly over bottom half of each roll.2.Layer salami, ham, cheese, tomato and lettuce evenly on bottom half of each roll; top with top halves of rolls.







Hot & Spicy Mustard

Yield: Makes about 1 cup



Ingredients:



1/4cup water

1/4cup whole yellow mustard seeds

1/4cup honey

3tablespoons cider vinegar

2tablespoons ground mustard

1teaspoon salt

1/8teaspoon ground cloves









Preparation:





1.Place water in small saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Add mustard seeds. Cover saucepan; remove from heat. Let stand 1 hour or until liquid is absorbed.2.Combine mustard seeds, honey, vinegar, ground mustard, salt and cloves in food processor; process using on/off pulsing action until mixture is thickened and seeds are coarsely chopped, scraping down side of work bowl once. Refrigerate at least 1 day before serving. Store in airtight container in refrigerator up to 3 weeks.
