Bob's Great Baked Beans (recipes)


Ingredients

1 can pork and beans-drained

1 can lima beans-drained

1 can kidney beans-drained

(You can used any combination of beans & just about any kind of beans)

1/2 lb. diced bacon,cooked and drained

1/2 lb. hamburger

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup catsup

1/2 cup brown sugar (or more)

1 tablespoon vinegar

1 tsp. dry mustard (or regular mustard)



Directions

You can cook in the oven (Dutch oven) or a crock-pot, or you can use a cast iron skillet on the grill top. Cook meat and onion till browned. Drain meat. Drain all beans and add to the pot along with all the Other ingredients. Mix well. Heat through and you are ready to serve.



Bob's Hint: Adding a hint of chopped bell pepper and/or a hint of BBQ sauce will add flavor. If you have left over ham with a little pineapple on it, throw the pineapple in.
