Chocolate Cereal Bars (recipes)




Yield: Makes 24 squares

These bars are great for lunch boxes, after-school snacks or classroom treats.





Ingredients:



6cups crisp rice cereal

1cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

1jar (7 ounces) marshmallow creme

2tablespoons butter or margarine

1teaspoon vanilla









Preparation:





1.Butter 13X9-inch baking pan; set aside. Place cereal in large heatproof bowl; set aside.2.Melt chocolate chips, marshmallow creme and butter in small heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.3.Stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal. Stir until blended. Press into prepared pan; cool.4.Cut into squares.
