Deviled Burgers

Yield: Makes 6 servings

There' s no need to eliminate hamburgers from your diet in order to eat healthy. With lean meat and sensible serving sizes, beef is an excellent source of protein, B vitamins and iron. These tasty burgers are packed with extra flavor–they have all the usual trimmings added to the meat before cooking.





Ingredients:



2slices bread, finely chopped

1/4cup finely chopped onion

1/4cup tomato ketchup

1tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2teaspoons prepared mustard

2teaspoons creamy horseradish

1/2teaspoon garlic powder

1/2teaspoon chili powder

1pound 95% lean ground beef

6hamburger buns









Preparation:





1.Preheat broiler. Combine bread, onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, horseradish, garlic powder and chili powder in large bowl until well blended. Gently blend ground beef into mixture. (Do not overwork.)2.Shape mixture into 6 (3-inch) burgers. Place burgers on ungreased jelly-roll pan.3.Broil burgers 4 inches from heat source 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Serve on hamburger buns.
