Maple-Cranberry Pork Chops (recipes)


Maple-Cranberry Pork Chop

Prep and Cook Time: 20 minutes

Yield: Makes 4 servings



Ingredients:



Nonstick Cooking spray

4well-trimmed center cut pork chops (1/2 inch thick)

1cup dry red Wine or apple juice

1/2cup dried cranberries

1/2cup pure maple syrup or maple-flavored syrup

1tablespoon cold water

2teaspoons cornstarch









Preparation:





1.Spray large nonstick skillet with Cooking spray. Heat skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add pork chops; cook 3 to 5 minutes per side or just until browned and pork is no longer pink in center. Remove from skillet; keep warm.2.Add Wine, cranberries and syrup to skillet; cook and stir over medium-high heat 2 to 3 minutes.3.Combine water and cornstarch in small bowl; stir until smooth. Add cornstarch mixture to skillet; cook and stir about 1 minute or until thickened and clear. Reduce heat to medium. Return pork chops to skillet; spoon sauce over chops. Simmer 1 minute.
