Pork Chops With Marsala & Basil

(serves 8)

Ingredients

8 loin chops

2 teaspoons fresh basil chopped

1/2 cup Marsala wine

flour for dredging

garlic salt to taste

olive oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Combine flour and garlic salt in a zip lock bag; add pork chops and toss lightly until they are completely coated. In a large heavy skillet, add enough olive oil to cover the bottom of the pan; brown pork chops on both sides. In a shallow ungreased baking dish, arrange chops without having them over lap. Cover baking dish and bake for 1.5 hours until the chops are tender; skim off fat. Add wine and cook uncovered until liquid bubbles.
