Yellow Couscous (recipes)




Yield: Makes 3 cups



Ingredients:



1tablespoon olive oil

5green onions, sliced

1-2/3cups water

1/8teaspoon saffron threads or 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

1/4teaspoon salt

1cup precooked couscous*









Preparation:





1.Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat until hot. Add onions; cook and stir 4 minutes. Add water, saffron and salt. Bring to a boil. Stir in couscous. Remove from heat. Cover; let stand 5 minutes.
