Surma River (sh)




River, northeastern India and eastern Bangladesh.

It rises in northern Manipur state, India, where it is called the Barak River, and flows west into Bangladesh. There it passes through a rich tea-growing valley and eventually enters an old channel of the Brahmaputra and becomes the Meghna River, before entering the Ganges. It is 560 mi (900 km) long.


Guardian Angels (oh)



an organization whose members try to protect people from being attacked or robbed, especially when they are travelling on underground railways in big cities. The first group was started in New York City, and there are groups in Other US cities as well as in Other countries. The members wear red berets (=flat cloth hats) and do their work without being paid.
